KPOP

All the of the enormous screens of this restaurant, and every other KBBQ spot in the world, are broadcasting loud yelling girl sounds, shrouded in bass, accompanied by visuals of baby-faced young adult women dancing in tight bright clothing: K Pop. There’s nothing sexual about this at all. The digitally-enhanced ambient moans of some of the most beautiful female specimen the Korean equivalent of the CIA could genetically engineer, emanating through the room all night long. Normal.

A song is a mating call, nothing more. all of it. rap, church music, opera, all of it. The chief function is to manipulate the senses. Disarm. My close personal friend Doug Stanhope says he “dislikes music.” I get it. 

There are many good reasons women are obsessed with singers, but the main one is this: we are animals and a song is a mating call. famous singers are famous mating callers. And you wonder why every other news story is about one of them cheating or getting divorced. ha. i kill me.
