In the cafe, as always. See an acquaintance who is really more of a friend because he reads my writing and that’s the most intimate relationship I can manage to have with another person now-a-days.
He’s with a girl. I love when my friends get bitches, in any form. He’s out of her league. Probably platonic.
This is what young people are supposed to be doing on a rainy Saturday in the city: buying boba and chatting about what kind of music they like. Not sitting alone with noise canceling headphones in a huge black jacket isolated cold tired weird staring out the window typing about your childhood. That sounds like what a socially maladapted animal would do with their Sunday afternoon.
